At this year’s World Economic Forum meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland (January 23-27, 2013), Wharton faculty members shared innovative ideas on confronting global challenges. Below are highlights from the event, including videos, an in-depth report, and media coverage:
- Wharton organized an IdeasLab session called “Building Resilience to Global Risks,” which explored strategies for managing catastrophic events. Faculty participants included Wharton Professors Howard Kunreuther, Michael Useem, Erwann Michel-Kerjan, and Katherine Klein. The session was introduced by Wharton Dean Thomas Robertson and was moderated by University of Oxford Professor Ian Goldin.

- Wharton’s Risk Management and Decision Processes Center contributed to the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks 2013 report, which was developed from a survey of over 1,000 experts and industry leaders. Download a copy of the report (PDF) here.
