Anthony Noto, Chief Financial Officer of Twitter, to Keynote 2016 Wharton School MBA for Executives | Philadelphia Graduation

Philadelphia, PA — The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has announced that Anthony Noto, (Wharton MBA for Executives Class 23, Wharton MBA ’99), a Wharton MBA for Executives alumnus, will be the featured speaker at the School’s MBA for Executives graduation ceremony in Philadelphia.  The May 14, 2016 ceremony will take place at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts’ Zellerbach Theatre, 3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.  Mr. Noto is the Chief Financial Officer of Twitter, the global, real-time platform for public self-expression and conversation.

“From his days as an Academic All-American at West Point to the present, Anthony Noto has exhibited an inner drive and passion for success that is now reflected in his illustrious career,” said Geoff Garrett, Dean of the Wharton School. “His ability to lead–whether as an athlete, in the military, on Wall Street or in Silicon Valley–is an inspiration to our graduates. We are honored he will serve as our speaker.”

As Twitter’s CFO, Mr. Noto leads the company’s financial operations as well as marketing, corporate development and strategy. Prior to joining Twitter in July 2014, he served as a Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. from 2010 to 2014. Mr. Noto was also Co-Head of Goldman Sachs’ Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking group from 2011 to 2014. Among his accomplishments during this time was his leadership of Twitter’s successful 2013 initial public offering for which Goldman Sachs was lead underwriter.

From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Noto was CFO of the National Football League. From 1999 to 2007, he served in various roles at Goldman Sachs, including as the Internet and Media Equity Research Analyst and the head of the Communication, Media and Entertainment Equity Research Team.

Mr. Noto holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Previous graduation speakers at Wharton’s MBA for Executives graduation ceremony in Philadelphia have featured David Pottruck (C’70, WG’72), Alex Gorsky (WG’96) and Dan Tangherlini (WG’01).
