Grand Prize Winner will be announced April 20

PHILADELPHIA, March 8, 2023ADES, Build up Nepal, and Healthy Learners have been named as winners of the 2023 Barry & Marie Lipman Family Prize. Chosen from an applicant pool of almost 100 organizations, all three winners are guaranteed an unrestricted financial award of at least $125,000 as well as executive training and support from the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania. One grand prize winner will receive $250,000 in unrestricted funds. The grand prize winner will be announced at an in-person award ceremony at the end of April.

“We are thrilled to recognize these change-makers from such a diverse pool of applicants in our 12th year of the Prize. We are proud to have them join our Lipman community and are excited to have a front row seat in seeing their work grow as a result of this award,” said Euria Min, Director of the Lipman Family Prize.

Founder Barry Lipman said, “The work of these three winning organizations is diverse in nature but common in their strive for equitable living for all. It’s what human nature is all about, and we are inspired by their innovative models, their impact, and their potential for even greater scale.”

In addition to a chance at the $250,000 unrestricted financial prize, the Lipman Family Prize winners gain access to a growing community of innovators and thought-leaders that accelerate cutting-edge change worldwide. The Prize connects those on the cusp of great change with the resources, skills, and people-power to expand the impact and influence of their work. Benefits include tuition-free executive education programs, scholarship opportunities like Lipman Nonprofit Scholarship, peer learning events, as well as expert and student-driven research to inform and support their work.
